Details

I began this installation in 2020 when Coronavirus was just starting and, as many of us, I was locked down by myself in my home. I wanted to capture the passage of time, and how long days felt by watching and doing the same things over and over again. At the same time, I wanted to show how living in the same routine can make us notice things we didn’t pay attention to before and how they make a difference on each day that passes.

For three weeks I recorded with my phone, little details inside and outside my apartment. Things like shadows, trees, routines that became part of my new normal. Once I put it all together I built a structure of four walls inside my home (the challenging part) to create the feeling of isolation. The idea was to built it as if it would go inside a museum. And finally made a soundtrack that would enhance the mood in the environment..
