would bring the venue a bit more to life.

United Reaction is a Latinamerican club that seeks to bring the culture of our countries closure to the university’s community, through a variety of events related to fashion, music and design. UR Legacy makes part of this one as an Accessories and Jewelry showcase designed to feature unique Latin American talent at SCAD.

For last year's showcase the co-presidents of the club wanted to incorporate something different, that is why they contacted me to create a visual installation that went along with the show but at the same time didn’t distract the main focus of the event.

Process

This was the first time I have ever worked with someone to produce an installation outside of school, therefore I was really excited for this project.

The design of the piece was suggested by the members of the club. They had an idea of what they were looking for so we worked and adapted it as we moved forward. Some of the members of the club helped to build the triangles; they were made out of cardboard and wrapped in white paper. I then organized the shapes in a pattern, scanned them and placed them in illustrator. The animation part of it was just about having fun. Since the piece was not going to have sound it needed movement that could go with anything. After a few trials I landed on the final animation.
