Concept
With the creation of the show “Narcos” and several movies, tv shows and more about Pablo Escobar, people have created a misconception of who this man really was. This project exposes people to the truth about Pablo Escobar. It’s an eye-opener for everyone who celebrates him and serves as a voice for all Colombians who have inevitably been linked to his legacy of war, death and corruption.
The Brief
Create an infographic that provides the viewer an educational view towards a serious topic.
SCRIPT
I hear you, talking with those 60 million viewers, who like you, watch that show Narcos. But the glamorized version you see of Pablo Escobar is only half of the story. He was a murderer. Killing an estimated of five thousand five hundred people and he represents years snd years of war, death and corruption for the people in Colombia. He is such a small part of my country’s history when compared to all the greater things that it is...Because Colombia: tradition, music, flowers, coffee, agriultur, beauty and happiness. This is no longer pablo Escobar’s Colombia so STOP.
Stop buying and wearing our sadness.
Stop reducing my country to one man.
Stop ideolizing Pablo Escobar.
